Interesting. I always hoped there would be reductions given that the 10 regularly drops to £37. A similar proportional discount might see the 5 going into the twenties even. |

I've got a bottle here already and IMO £30ish is probably the right price for it, I was quite impressed with my first pour but every time to return to it I just wish I was drinking the 10yr instead. Considering I've never paid more than £37 for a bottle of the 10yr I just don't really see the point of the wee beastie at the typical £35-£36 price point. |

Bigshing what would be your ratings on the 10 and wee beastie? Your ratings might differ from mine but just be interested to see the ratings gap |

I'm an Ardbeg fanboy so my ratings are a little higher for the 10yr, this is how i'd rank the Ardbeg i've tried:
Uigeadail: 93/100
10yr: 92/100
An Oa: 89/100
Wee Beastie 86/100
Wee beastie definitely a couple of notches below the 10yr because it's a little too peat heavy imo, robs the whisky of much of its subtler flavours and also finshes on quite an astringent note. I mean, it's a nice enough dram: Sweet, smoky, and fruity as you'd expect from Ardbeg, but one thing that did strike me about the Wee Beastie though was how much toffee I was getting from it compared to the 10 and Oa where the toffee notes aren't quite as in your face. |

Uigeadail is one ofmy absolute favourite whiskies and I have a bottle of the corryvreckran in my collection but waiting for a special occasion to crack it open coz it's on the upper end of my budget! :D |
