As far as the Aberlour 10 is concerned IMO it is one of the best value for money malts on the market, i always have a bottle in my whisky cabinet.

Also remember that the contents of an opened bottle will slowly evaporate - a great excuse to finish any open bottle  |

Aberlour 10 is a great call, as is the Talisker 10, but the Aberlour 16 (for me at least) surpasses the 10 year old and can be picked up for £30:
