Balvenie 14Y rum cask,

really nice. starts off sweet toffee, and ends with a bit of pepper. but a really nice balance. a bit of raisins there also.

LAPHROAIG PX CASK
At 48% ABV it has the strength, but it hides it so well. The texture is gentle and silky smooth! This could be a wonderful whisky to introduce new comers to the peaty category.

Opened a new bottle of Glenfiddich - Age of Discovery (Madeira).

i got that one. its a nice whisky. but i wish it was a higher ABV.

this is massive help thanks a lot. i was also worried about using a whisky that is only at 40ABV. i will try and get a good single malt that is cask strength. i will look into that.
