Thanks, I'll keep my eye open for those. Especially The Chivas 18 Ultimate Cask Collection First Fill American Oak Finish, as I've always had a soft spot for Chivas 12.

I recently took a flight from Indonesia to Hawaii. I picked up a bottle of Ballantine's 17 year at a duty-free shop in Japan for around $80USD. It isn't unpleasant to sip, but it pales in comparison t ...

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried Caol Ila 12 and liked it. Tried Bowmore 12 at a pub and decided I probably won't buy a bottle, although I am interested in Bowmore Darkest. I had a sample pack ...

Hi,

I just finished a bottle of Ardbeg Corryvreckan, and I'm about to polish off the last of my Lagavulin 16. I'll soon be headed to the bottle shop looking to replenish my store of peated hooch. ...

Thanks for the replies. I retract my previous comment. I've nearly finished this bottle of Highland Park 12. The heather, honey, and hit of smoke on the finish, have once again blow my mind.

I know this may seem like sacrilege, but I've just blended 3 Glenmorangie whiskies, LaSanta, Quinta Ruban, and Nector d'Or, in equal parts. It tastes good.

Background, I bought a Glenmorangie taste ...

Hi folks,

Unlike many of you posting on here, I'm not a whisky connoisseur. However, I do enjoy drinking, reading about, and thinking about whisky.

In any case, my query this time is about Hig ...

Good question, I've never narrowed it down to a list. Off the top and my head, and trying to find some variety in the mostly entry-level scotches I've tried:

Lagavulin 16
Talisker 10

I think it's a nice light scotch. It's ok neat, easy to drink, and a good introduction to the non-scotch drinker. It's also cheap enough that I don't mind mixing. It goes great with ginger beer and a ...

I've heard some people say that a little water enhances the taste of some whiskies dramatically. I've experienced this notably with Balvenie 14 year Caribbean Cask. I drank the first 2/3 of a bottle a ...

I may take some hate for this, but does anyone else think Nadurra First Fill NAS is better than Nadurra 16?

I recently bought a bottle of Nadurra 16. At first I was underwhelmed, but as I continue ...

Thanks gents. Glenfarclas 17 and 105 are both available, and only slightly more than A'bunadh.

Nadurra Oloroso is a bit cheaper. I was thinking I'd go with the Nadurra Oloroso, both for the sherr ...

Thanks for the advise guys. So if you could buy the sunburnt Johnnie Green or a sunshelter Chivas Regal 18 which would you choose? I can only find the most common single malts here, so I'd like a blen ...
