My favorites are woodford reserve double oaked and pikesville 100%rye. Both very complex.
Four roses SB, Blanton's or Blanton's gold are some great options too and are a bit more typical bourbons ... |

I really enjoy Bourbon too. Best ones I've had to recommend are:
Blantons gold
Four roses single barrel
Woodford reserve double oaked

but it is probably nothing like the overpriced boring smoke of the Talisker 18.
Interesting. That Talisker is my favorite dram I find it very complex and rewarding. Hope the Laphroaig has the same ... |

| Glenfarclas 12 working on a bottle kill. Have to say I wouldn't buy again. What a difference between this and the 17 which is one of my all time favourite malts. |

| Not sure the price point in your area, but Craigellachie 17 is also exellent imo. In my top 5 for sure. Whisky.com on YouTube also raves about it. |
