The folks at the IWSC certainly think Sainsburys Islay malt is good as they have just awarded it the IWSC Gold (Best in Class) award in the Islay Pure Malt 10 year old class at this years competition. ...

Frank, I had heard before that it was Old Pulteney in the Tesco Highland malt bottle, i guess it cant be unless Inver House Distillers was taken over by Whyte & Mackay.

I agree Mac Johnnie Walker Red is a poor blend and it is such a shame that these good malts are are going to dissappear into it.
