| Yes, but its still likely to be a lot less than you would need to pay for the same item at a retailer if they buy at aution. |

Brokenfather, I noticed that The Whisky Exchange have an earlier edition of Glenfiddich 40 year old which was bottled in 2000 if that is of any interest.

Any idea where the 40 year old can be bought?
Its not on the Glenfiddich web site yet but I dont know how up to date they maintain that. |

This is a bit of a long shot, I haven't emailed McTear's.
Lot no. 48 was a bottle of 39 year old Glenfiddich. Distilled in 1961, bottled in 2000.
