You're in for a treat because you can get so many whiskies that are a class above the Tamnavulin for that money! Here's a few:

Glendronach 12
Tamdhu 12
Glenfarclas 15
Glenrothes Whisky Maker's C ...

Glengoyne 12 and 21.

So I was having a good nose day, and what started as a mini Glengoyne session developed into a mammoth one, continuing with the Glengoyne Cask Strength, a 10 year-old Edradour ...

That's a good point. I guess the argument from their side is that they're providing us with useful information about its maturation, but then why exactly tell us what year the cask is from and not how ...

Amazon seem to have a couple of exclusives from Berry Bros. & Rudd - single casks from Blair Athol and Glen Moray, both 11 years old. The Glen Moray is bottled at 46% and the Blair Athol at cask s ...

I've moved from Bourbons on to Scotch

My first two bottles of Scotch were Monkey Shoulder and Chivas Regal 12. The wife th ...

It was an interesting evening indeed raising a number of questions. Was the heightened experience of the whiskies down to the tasting sequence? Is my palate becoming more discerning? Or maybe ...

My beginner's journey has led me to tasting small amounts of different drams in sequence rather than concentrating on just one of an evening. So this evening I'm dramming

Glenlivet 12
Old Pulteney ...
