William
Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose: A little creamy vanilla
toffee, a mix of zesty and candied
orange.
Taste: A lovely balance of
sherry and molasses, creamy vanilla
reminding us of the oak it has spent
years maturing in, a mild grassy note,
some very distant mild smoke, touch of
coconut.
Finish: Sweetens with malt and
brown sugar, more of the grassy note,
coconut, mildly drying sherry.
Comment:
A lovely sherry rich, balanced mature
blended Scotch whisky. It displays no
age statement but it is certainly in the
premium blended Scotch whisky league.
Obviously some very good malts and grain
whisky have gone into this. I think this
could pleasantly surprise quite a few
single malt whisky drinkers, a lovely
easy to drink blend.
