Is the 17 year old expression of Glenfarclas becoming rarer? I'm just wondering as it's now selling for over £100 via MOM and TWE (and the 18 year old expression is selling for considerably less by comparison)... |

If your a level minded person then you’d say pricing gone mad,! If you’ve got a good stash then you’d say it fine!

Don't forget that the 17yo is a Travel Retail bottle, or at least always was, so avaliabilti is limited compared to the likes of the 21yo - which is a core bottle.
Wasn't all that long ago that you could get the 30yo for £150 and the 40yo for £300.....in that last 5 years prices have skyrocketed everywhere. Just the way things are |

The Glenfarclas 17 was originally available in global travel retail and it was also available in the US market where we have the 15 year old expression here in the UK. With the huge surge in popularity here in the UK of single malts the 17 has had varied availability from specialist whisky shops here in the UK in recent years. It certainly looks like there is currently a slump in availability here at the moment or perhaps they have stopped bottling it. |

I bought a 17 and a 25 a few years back for just over £150, only a small amount of the 25 left, both were very good. |

Interesting, I have a mate in Africa who bought one for $5,000,000!! Put your bottle to the side and he will be in touch with an offer to buy from you. He has only just found out he is a millionaire and is overpaying for everything so you are in luck. Please await further instruction. |
