Douglas Laing this week unveiled a brand extension to its Xtra Old Particular Single Cask Scotch Whisky range: XOP The Black Series which launches with an ex-Sherry hogshead, distilled at the Springbank Distillery in 1994.

This looks and sounds a good dram, then the price is set by having an LSD party. Thanks Cara. I'll be on the look out but absolutely little chance of finding one.

With only 148 bottles they just know they can get £800 for it, good luck finding one.

The Indie bottlers have long been heading in the direction of the distillers themselves with their pricing, sadly

The prices of single casks of Springbank are astronomical.. it’s not surprising that something like this is commanding such an RRP.. this will vanish quickly
