I was shopping with my wife in London on Friday and wanted to look at the new whisky room in Harrods when I noticed they had taken stock (that day it turns out) of The Macallan Exceptional Cask 14 year old, cask number 9100 and number 13 in the range of 14 casks in the series.
I was even more shocked when you could purchase 3 per person at a price of £325 each given the frenzy that was gone around the release of the previous casks, my wife also purchased 3.
Well my 50th is in a few months so 1 will definitely be getting cracked open then

A polite question, have you tasted this whisky?
If not,why buy 6 of them, it is a bit of risk considering there is a chance you may not like it? _________________ Pour me a glass please.
I assume that this question is for Torcross, as I only got a single bottle.
However, I don't see that Torcross has any concerns. If he doesn't like this expression, he can sell his remaining five bottles and use the money to buy some other tasty whiskies.
I now know a third person who got a bottle of this whisky. And all thanks to the original post on this thread, which is fabulous. Everyone helping each other.
