This was bottled in 1995 and the label was signed personally by Speaker Betty Boothroyed in 1997 at The House of Commons.

I have had the boxed bottle tucked away in my sock draw since and recently deicded I would donate it to the 'Carers in Hertfordshire' charity to assist them raising funds.

Can anyone assist me in establishing a value for this bottle and also provide advice as to how that charity might best market the bottle for maximum effect?

Signed bottles are always difficult to put a value on, here is an example of 2 unsigned bottles which sold at auction in 2011 for £170

My guesstimate is you may get around the same amount for one bottle now, just depends on the bidders on the day.

I would say the best place to sell a bottle of whisky would be a specialist whisky auction but perhaps the charitable element of the sale would attract higher bids from outside the normal whisky drinker/bidders.

If you do decide to sell it at auction you could try www.scotchwhiskyauctions.com or www.mctears.co.uk perhaps if you approached them and tell them the bottle is being sold for a charitable cause they may waive their fees, worth a try.

Just my opinion, my estimate may be way out, good luck selling the bottle and i hope you get a good price for it.
