Rumours are rife that William Grant & Sons will release a 16yo Kininvie Single Malt from a single cask. Price (in the hundreds per bottle). Just like the Hazelwood, issued to staff members only a year or two ago, it will be purely for investors.
I have tasted the Kininvie in Port wood at Cask strength which was pretty good in comparison to the ones we taste annually in Bourbon wood. Kininvie has now been running since 1990 and W.Grant's have had problems finding good wood for Kininvie and 99% goes in to W.Grant Standfast blended whisky, the rest in to Monkey Shoulder.

Kininvie is one of the single malts that i have still to have the pleasure of and it will probably remain that way if they are going to ask for hundreds per bottle.
