Hi, my friend has some whisky and wants to find out how good it is and how much would it cost, same as the origin of it. I have two pictures of the cask

Thankfully I'm fluent in Dutch, so I have translated the text on your 2nd photo...
This Whisky is prepared with native grain alcohol max.
fired at 94o/95o G L to 150 C. and original
scotch whisky imported under the suspension of the British
Customs Certificate of Origin no 31 of 03-08-70
ps - I actually used Google Translate
Unfortunately I have no idea about the whisky - strange to give it the name 'Okay' but maybe it was only marketed this way in the Benelux region by the importer (Geens). When Googling Geens Aarschot, I'm directed to what looks like a big garden centre or possibly similar to the Eden Project in Belgium.
Good luck and if your friend manages to sell it, please let us know how well he/she did. |

Since found this very interesting article about Geens… well worth a read, but unfortunately means that your cask may not be worth an awful lot.
