I'm reluctantly selling my 1972 Macallan 18 year old via Whisky Auction.
Hope it's OK to post a link here... https://whisky.auction/auctions/lot/13775
The £1250 reserve has been met - mine is the UK bottling (there's also a Giovinetti import which is currently sitting at £1750).

As an aside (and I don't mean to sound greedy here!), I wondered if anyone knew why there would be a £700ish difference between the Giovinetti import and my UK bottling?
Based on my research I had assumed they were roughly comparable in value, am I missing something? |

Long way to go yet, if it is still the same difference at the end of the auction you could ask the question but I would not worry (if that is the correct word) and remember regardless you are many times up on your original investment even as it stands |

Ha yes I was in two minds about even asking - thanks for the reply though.
Incredibly lucky to have been given this as a Christening present. So technically it's an infinite return, which will never happen again!
Thanks again,
Steve |
