It was produced by the Clanrana Liqueur Company, Glasgow. I think you are right Fergie this wasnt produced after the 60s/70s.
Here are a couple of pics of a miniature of the Clanrana liqueur, there is a bit of info on the bottle.
Hope these help.

My mother worked for the Glenvey Blending Company in Glasgaow in the 60s & 70s & she used to bottle the stuff! It was invented by someone called Qugley ( I think he was a friend of the owner of Glenvey ) & he also had a couple of books published - one was called Kings Royal. ( Another whisky my mum used to bottle! ) Glenvey folded in the mid seventies, their last premises were the railway arches in Commerce St ( 57 I think)
Sorry but I have to own up that don't much care for whisky!!!
Any more useless information, please ask!!!
Best wishes,
Eddie |

Hi
I'm sure King's Royal was a standard whisky, not a liquer. The owner of the Glenvey owned a hotel ( now demolished ) & a few pubs around Glasow & I guess this where it was mainly sold. My dad used to do the odd delivery round & I can remember riding shotgun around various dives in Glasgow - the only specific one I can remember is the Grapes on Paisley Road.
Typo in my last post - name should have read Quigley, there is a short entry on Wikipedia about him & his books are avaulble on Amazon & E-Bay.
Best wishes,
Eddie |

Hiya
Yes my mum was Moira Dalbeck - I'm her son Edward ( Eddie! )
Mum died in 1996 I'm afraid - I have to own up that I remember the 3 McNelis brothers, Bill McDonald & Anne-Marie Docherty but your name doesn't ring a bell. Senior moment I think!!
I hope you are well, all the best,
Eddie |
