I have tried that before Mac, adding a touch of Macallan sherryoak to some Laphroaig and it does work very well, although i wasnt as extravagant as you i only used the 10 year old not the 18.

Very odd behaviour the way he throws the whisky out of the glass across the room, what was the point in that Rolling Eyes just very odd. I wouldnt add marmalade to a 16 year old malt not even a Jura.

A pity they stopped Family Reserve, I prefer it over the Signature, which is £2-3 more expensive too.

Asda has Glenfiddich 12 year old for £17.98, very few good offers around in the big supermarkets at the moment in fact i would say prices have crept up a little.
