Douglas Laing
add Timorous Beastie 18 year old to
their Highland region range of vatted
malts.
 The
folks at Glasgow based Douglas Laing
have added yet another limited edition
aged blended malt to their Highland
region Remarkable Regional Malts range,
this time they have unveiled a Timorous
Beastie 18 Year Old.
The Timorous Beastie 18 year old, a
Highland vatted malt, is the third
release under DL's Timorous Beastie
brand to carry an age statement, it
follows the Timorous Beastie 40 year old
and 21 year old bottlings and of course
the original
No Age Statement

I haven't had the pleasure of the new
Timorous Beastie 18 and the info that
Douglas Laing has sent me is a little
short on taste description other than to
say that its tasting notes include
"gentle spices", complemented by "honey,
vanilla and juicy barley".
Packaged in a premium gift tube with
copper foil detail honouring the whisky
you will find in the bottle, it was bottled
at 46.8% ABV and as we have come to expect
from DL without colouring or
chill-filtration.
The new Timorous Beastie 18 year old will
soon be available from specialist online whisky shops worldwide including
Master of
Malt
