Whyte &
Mackay 30 year old promotion has shoppers
going wild in the isles.
Whisky lovers wanting to enjoy a dram
may get more for their money this week
as Whyte & Mackay releases hundreds of
bottles of Whyte & Mackay 30 year old,
for the price of the Whyte & Mackay
Special blend.
And to celebrate the promotion, Master
Blender Richard Paterson has been busy
filming the hilarious spoof video below
which shows him sneaking into Whyte &
Mackay’s Grangemouth bottling plant to
dispense 30 year old liquid into bottles
of Special after being denied the chance
to give away the 30 year old for free.
All Whyte & Mackay whiskies are crafted
in exactly the same way, using a unique
double marriage process to ensure a
smooth quality across all blends.
However, Whyte & Mackay lovers buying a
Special may well be in for something
extra special as Master Blender, Richard
Paterson, has secretly bottled the 30
years old in 250 selected bottles of the
Whyte & Mackay’s flagship brand,
Special.
That means that lucky consumers up and
down the country may get a bottle of the
best blended whisky in the world (worth
around £150), for the price that they
normally pay for a bottle of Special.
Each of the 250 winning bottles has a
unique cap, meaning not only is the
bottle filled with 30 year old liquid,
but the lucky drinker will also be sent
an additional bottle of Whyte & Mackay
30 year old, complete in a presentation
case.
Richard Paterson comments: "I’ve been
blending whisky for 40 years and I think
the 30 year old is one of my finest
creations, in fact, I thought it was so
good I wanted to share it with Whyte &
Mackay’s loyal fans. "
"If you’re not one of the lucky ones to
pick up a winning bottle, you can rest
assured that your Special has been
created with as much love and attention
as 30 year old, each uses the same
double-marriage process to give it
consistency and smoothness."
