Luxe Edinburgh. So what is Whisky Luxe
you may ask?
Whisky
Luxe is the new luxury whisky tasting
event for passionate whisky drinkers,
whisky enthusiasts and collectors. The
new event launches on September 7th at
The Scotch Whisky Experience which is
located just minutes from Edinburgh
Castle.
At the event you will get to sample
drams costing more than £700 a bottle. A

Stars of Whisky Luxe in Edinburgh on
September 7th are scheduled to feature
Fettercairn 40 Years Old (which can cost
around £730 a bottle), a special
selection of rare or limited editions of
Jura bottlings (up to £500), and rare
releases from distillers such as The
Dalmore, The Macallan, Balblair,
Ardmore, Laphroaig, Glen Grant, Glen
Garioch, Glengoyne, Glen Moray, Bowmore
and Auchentoshan.
Among other notable whiskies to be
tasted are the winners of the 2012 World
Whisky Awards. These include Scotch
sub-category winners such as
Glenmorangie Signet, Talisker 57 North,
Lagavulin 16 Years Old and The Balvenie
Tun 1401 Batch as well as Suntory’s
Yamazaki 25 Years Old which won the Best
Single Malt title and South Africa’s
Three Ships which won the Award for the
World’s Best Blended Whisky.
Only 350 tickets are available for the
red carpet evening at the Scotch Whisky
Experience near Edinburgh Castle. It
will be the first time Whisky Luxe has
been staged in Scotland.
International whisky enthusiasts,
collectors and passionate whisky
drinkers will also be treated to
matching food and entertainment over
several floors.
"This will be one of the finest arrays
of whiskies ever available for tasting
at a single event in the home of Scotch
whisky,” said event manager Chloe
Leighton. “It is the ultimate evening
for those who appreciate life’s luxuries
and have a true passion for whisky.”
Ambassadors from the world’s finest
brands, including Charlie MacLean who
stars in the film "The Angels’ Share"
which centres on the malt whisky
industry, will be on hand to give expert
advice and guide guests through some of
their most premium ranges.
What’s more, three tickets bought will
be Golden Tickets, and those who hold
the Golden Tickets will each win a host
of exclusive prizes.
