Royal Salute
unveil limited edition 30 year
old expression in collaboration with London
based designer Afroditi Krassa.

Chivas Brothers have unveiled their
second collaboration with London based
designer Afroditi Krassa, the limited
edition Royal Salute 30 Year Old The
Flask Edition.
The Royal Salute 30 Year Old The Flask
Edition was specially crafted by Royal
Salute’s Director of Blending, Sandy
Hyslop, it is a blend of single malts
from Speyside’s Longmorn distillery and
Strathisla which is the oldest operating
distillery in the Highlands, as well as
from a number of distilleries no longer
in production, which have matured in a
mix of American and European oak, they
were all brought together and married
with grain whisky from the Chivas
Brothers Strathclyde distillery.
The specially crafted whisky is
presented in an iconic royal blue Royal
Salute porcelain flagon and is
accompanied by a custom-made porcelain
flask complete with funnel and wooden
serving tray designed to provide the
ultimate whisky drinking experience at
home or while travelling. Afroditi
Krassa, who created the refined
accessories, has taken inspiration from
one of the most ancient and elemental of
art forms – the crystalline glazing
process – and given it a contemporary
twist.
Described as having a rich and masculine taste, full
flavours of soft ripe pear and sweet
toffee apple revealing hints of crème
brûlée, vanilla, and butterscotch, with
a hint of liquorice and soft ginger in
the background. Initially
available exclusively in China, a
limited number can now be purchased at
select retailers such as Harrods, priced
£600.
You will also will find the current
Royal Salute core range as well as some previous
limited editions available from
specialist online whisky shops such as
