Brothers launch Royal Salute 21 Year Old
Polo Edition
 One
thing Chivas Brothers is consistently very good at is
producing outstanding premium blended
whiskies so it is always good to hear
that their luxury brand, Royal Salute,
has unveiled a new limited edition
expression, the Royal Salute 21 Year
Old Polo Edition.
The new whisky which continues the
brands long established association with
the sport of kings is not just presented
in a new look flagon and box it is a
special batch of the premium Scotch
blended whisky which has been created
by Sandy Hyslop, Royal Salute’s Director
of Blending, the new blend is a
combination of grain whiskies and lighter fruity malts aged
for a minimum of 21 years.
Royal
Salute describe it as a more delicate
tasting liquid designed to be enjoyed
during the day and as an accompaniment
to sophisticated sporting occasions such
as polo.
They
say the new expression of the premium
blend is brighter in texture and tone
with notes of ripe honeydew melon,
homemade berry jam and creamy toffee,
this new expression is smooth and
sophisticated, providing a long-lasting
tasting experience, perfect for basking
in the sunshine and outdoor
entertaining. Unfortunately I haven't
had the chance to taste this new limited
edition yet, I will update you if I do
as going by Royal Salutes past track
record and current core range it is
hopefully something very special.
The
new Royal Salute 21 Year Old Polo
Edition was bottled
at 40% ABV and is presented in Royal
Salute’s iconic hand-crafted, porcelain
bottle with a distinct polo theme,
unique to the limited edition whisky.
Eye-catching turquoise heroes the bottle
and complements three shades of blue to
mimic the blue sky and green grass of
the traditional polo field. The bottles
are embossed with intricate but powerful
scenes of polo players in action.
The
new whisky was launched in Singapore
duty free this month and will be rolled
out globally from September, with a RRP
of US$149. You will also will find the current Royal Salute
core range as well as some previous
