Douglas Laing
unveil limited edition Rock Oyster 18
year old Island vatted malt.
Glasgow
based independent bottler Douglas Laing
has unveiled a new limited edition 18
year old aged Scotch Blended Malt under
its Island region Remarkable Regional
Malts range.
Like the other blended malts in Douglas Laing's Remarkable Regional Malts range, Rock Oyster
18 year old is a Small
Batch bottling created using a selection
of single malts sourced from the region
it represents, namely whiskies distilled
on the Islands of Jura, Islay, Arran and
Orkney.
Described as a maritime marriage of
Malts distilled on Arran, Islay, Jura
and Orkney, Douglas Laing say that it
is "rich with flavours of the sea", the
tasting notes for Rock Oyster’s new
limited edition feature "a blast of sea
air, tobacco and sweet peat".
Similar
to the other blended malts in the
Remarkable Regional Malts range the
flavours which you will find in the
bottle have been brought to life on the
packaging by a detailed illustration of
a sailboat battling stormy seas off
Scotland’s West Coast.
Bottled
at 46.8% ABV and as we have come to expect
from DL without colouring or
chill-filtration, the new Rock Oyster 18
year old will soon be available from specialist
online whisky shops worldwide including
Master of
Malt
