Old Pulteney
launches 1985 Single Cask exclusively at
Edinburgh airport.

Old
Pulteney 1985 is a Single Cask 32 year
old whisky which is exclusively
available at Edinburgh airports World of
Whiskies travel retail shop.
A limited release of just 168
individually numbered bottles, the Old
Pulteney 1985 was matured in an American
Oak ex-bourbon cask for 32 years then
bottle at a cask strength of 51% ABV and
I am pleased to say it is non-chill
filtered and naturally coloured.
Described as: "Pale gold in appearance
with bronze highlights, scented with
elegant fruit notes of apricots and
pears, with a gentle balance of honey
sweetness and a slight chocolate
undertone. To taste, it is smooth with
sugary honeycomb, slightly floral with
fresh citrus and creamy chocolate. The
finish is fruity and long-lasting".
The new whisky will have its own display
at Edinburgh airport which will feature
the actual cask for the next four weeks
so you cant miss it if you are passing
through the airport. Priced at £275, it
is presented in a cream canvas sailing
bag, which pays homage to the Wick
distillery's rich seafaring heritage,
printed with the cask number and details
of the Edinburgh International Airport
partnership.
If you have no plans to be passing
through Edinburgh airport in the near
future you will find the current Old
Pulteney core whisky range and a few
limited editions as well as a few
expressions previously exclusive to
travel retail available from
specialist online whisky shops such as
