amongst you, Loch Lomond distillery has
launched a Loch Lomond Inchmurrin Single
Cask bottling in partnership with World
Duty Free exclusively at London Heathrow
airport.
The Loch Lomond Inchmurrin Single Cask
No. 79 is a 10 year old expression which
was distilled in January 2008 and
recently bottled exclusively for
Heathrow airport in February 2018. A
release of 278 bottles it is non
chill-filtered and was bottled at cask
strength – 57.1% ABV and it is attractively priced at a hard to resist
£59 for a 70cl bottle.
Loch Lomond described the exclusive
Inchmurrin single cask whisky as: "On
the nose, fruity and sweet with a
hint of spice. The palate offers layers
of sweet vanilla and barley sugar, while
the lemon and lime finish delivers a
citrus edge, giving way to maple syrup
and a mild oak spiciness".
Since launching in travel retail Loch
Lomond whisky sales have continued to go
from strength to strength, as a regular
traveller myself I know Loch Lomond can
often be found offering travellers the
chance to sample their whisky and I have
no doubt that this combined with
the quality and pricing of their whisky
has contributed to their success in
travel retail and beyond.
Now firmly established in travel retail
I am sure this attractively priced Loch
Lomond Inchmurrin single cask bottling
should have no problem selling to the
whisky enthusiast travellers passing
through Heathrow who are looking to try
something new and unique.
