New Look For William Grant's 25 Year Old

25th February 2015
Grant's excellent 25 year old blend now presented in premium wooden box.

William Grant & Sons excellent Grant's 25 Year Old premium blended whisky launched back in 2009 was originally exclusively available in travel retail but nowadays it can now be found at select high-end whisky retailers such as The Whisky Exchange. It has recently been given a new look but don't worry it is still the same Grant's 25 year old that you will find in the bottle.

Grant’s 25 Year Old is a unique blend, containing twenty-five of the world’s most highly-prized and distinctive malt and grain whiskies, it was first launched in travel retail in October 2009 in a cobalt blue presentation box adorned with gold engraved metalwork.

William Grant & Sons have got together with brand design agency Webb deVlam and they have unveiled the new look for the William Grant 25 year old blend.

The stylish new gift box is made from oak coloured wood designed to feel synonymous with the quality of whisky inside.

As you can see from the image the box is decorated with five concentric golden rings emanating out from the Grant’s brand badge and running along the front which conjure thoughts of the annual rings found within the cross section of a tree: a ring for every year of the tree’s life and in this case, the five generations of the Grant's family. Mounted proudly on the front is the Grant’s family tree medallion, which echoes the bottle’s stopper and reinforces the family message in a contemporary way.

Inside the box, the bottle is presented beautifully in leather-look lining.

Premium blends such as this is still perhaps not catching the full attention of whisky connoisseurs, many of them are still perhaps a little blinkered towards single malts which is a pity as they are missing out here as this really is an outstanding premium blend. Perhaps with the way the pricing of single malts of this age are going premium blends such as these will now start to get noticed more.

The Grant's 25 year old is now available from The Whisky Exchange priced £165 although it is in the old equally impressive cobalt blue presentation box.
