Glenmorangie
and Ardbeg whisky praised at top whisky
awards.
 The
Glenmorangie Company have a few more
trophies to polish in their trophy
cabinet following the companies recent
triumphs at a couple of the top whisky
competitions. They have just picked up
two awards at this year’s World Whiskies
Awards in London and four double gold
medals at the 2015 San Francisco World
Spirits Competition.
Glenmorangie Original, the excellent 10
year old single malt and Glenmorangie's
flagship expression, emerged as a double
gold medal winner at the San Francisco
World Spirits Competition, judged by a
panel of experts.
Other Glenmorangie and Ardbeg
expressions were also recognised at the
San Francisco World Spirits Competition
including their delicious Port cask
finished Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban,
Glenmorangie 25 Years Old and
outstanding deep, peaty, peppery Ardbeg
Corryvreckan – all double gold medal
winners in their categories.
The World Whiskies Awards, held in
March, crowned Glenmorangie Extremely
Rare 18 Years Old as the Best Highland
Single Malt, while new
Ardbeg
Kildalton was awarded the
Best Islay Single Malt.
Dr Bill Lumsden, Head of Distilling and
Whisky Creation at The Glenmorangie
Company, said of the awards: "This

innovation and craftsmanship.
"Being honoured in these highly
contested categories reflects the
distinctive taste profiles of
Glenmorangie and Ardbeg – influenced by
their respective homes and crafted to
the highest standards."
The illustrious World Whiskies Awards
search for the very best whiskies from a
global shortlist. The competition from
leading industry publication, Whisky
Magazine, sees entries go through three
rounds of blind tastings in its search
for the category winners.
The San Francisco World Spirits
Competition is the largest, most
influential international spirits
competition in America.
