Douglas Laing
announces a limited release Rock Island
21 Year Old as well as a new addition to
the core range, Rock Island 10 Year Old.

Douglas Laing has revealed two new
blended malt whiskies under their Rock
Island brand, the first is Rock Island
21 Year Old which is a limited release
expression and the second is Rock Island
10 Year Old which is a permanent
addition to the Rock Island range and
will be a continually available
offering.
Rock Island 21 Year Old has been bottled
at 46.8% ABV, non Chill filtered and is
a limited release of 4,200 bottles with
a expected retail price of £89
Rock Island 10 Year Old has been bottled
at 46% ABV, non Chill filtered and is
expected to retail at £45.
Unfortunately the announcement of the
two Rock Island whiskies I received from
Douglas Laing wasn't accompanied by a
detailed tasting note for each of the
whiskies so I cant tell you just how
smoky or maritime these island blended
malts are.
Cara Laing, third generation and
Director of Whisky at Douglas Laing,
commented: "We’re thrilled to celebrate
sea-faring Scotch Whisky this summer
with two new releases in our Rock Island
range – Rock Island 10 Years Old and
Limited Edition 21 Years Old. Created by
marrying together Single Malts distilled
on the Whisky Islands of Islay, Arran,
Jura and Orkney, Rock Island and its
special edition counterparts genuinely
encapsulate the archetypal salty, smoky,
peppery warmth that Island Whiskies are
famed for”.
No doubt you
will soon find the new Douglas Laing
Rock Island whiskies available from specialist whisky retailers
such as
The Whisky Exchange and
Master of Malt
