Experience
the versatility of Scotch at the
inaugural Diageo sponsored Edinburgh
Cocktail Festival during the month of
August.

If you are lucky
enough to be in Edinburgh during the
Edinburgh Festival this month and you
fancy trying a few cocktails or even
trying your hand at creating your own
then stop by the New Waverly
development, just off the Royal Mile
where you will find the inaugural
Edinburgh Cocktail Festival, taking
place.
The Edinburgh Cocktail Festival has been
organised and curated by The Drink
Cabinet, in collaboration with Food +
Flea Market, it is Edinburgh’s first
ever festival dedicated to celebrating
the city’s booming cocktail culture and
it will run from today 4th until 28th
August.
Diageo Reserve has announced that its
portfolio of World Class brands will
headline sponsor the event. Throughout
the month-long festival, visitors can
expect an array of cocktail bars,
food-stalls, masterclasses, and pop-up
events, gathered together in the heart
of Scotland’s capital. As headline
sponsor, World Class will invite
consumers to enjoy a host of daily
immersive activations, providing insight
into Edinburgh’s vibrant cocktail
culture. Guests will be invited to
tailor their own Bloody Mary at the
Ketel One Vodka Kitchen, whilst the
Tanqueray No. TEN Gin Forest will give
visitors the chance to forage herbs and
botanicals to create a bespoke Tanqueray
No. TEN serve.
Perhaps of particular interest to Scotch
whisky drinkers will be a #LoveScotch
masterclass, which will guide consumers
through how to make cocktail-bar-quality
drinks at home by championing the
versatile Scotch category, serving up
the classic Old Fashioned, personalised
to individual tastes, using a range of
single malts and single grain whiskies,
syrups, bitters and garnishes.
Nick Temperley, Head of Diageo Reserve
GB commented on the sponsorship: "The
Edinburgh Cocktail Festival will be a
wonderful celebration of cocktail
culture. At Diageo we are dedicated to
working alongside great bartenders to
create delicious drinks and memorable
experiences and so it’s a fitting
partnership for us to headline the
month-long festival."
You can visit the Edinburgh Cocktail
Festival from today, Friday 4th August
until Monday 28th August 2017, 12:00 –
22:00 daily at the New Waverley
Development on Market Square at Sibbald
Walk, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG
