The Dalmore
Constellation Collection is 21 vintages
created at the Dalmore Highland
distillery between the years 1964 and
1992.
Launching
exclusively today the 1st May with World
Duty Free The Dalmore Constellation
Collection brings together, for the
first time, a spectrum of vintages
created at the iconic Dalmore Highland
distillery between the years 1964 and
1992.
Initially consisting of 21 individual
releases, these magnificent, bold
whiskies have spent their lives
finessing in the finest casks from
around the world. Bottled at natural
cask strength and at natural colour they
have ensured that none of the
collection's character has been diluted.
This refinement is matched by their
presentation in hand-blown crystal
decanters housed in a bespoke lacquered
presentation cabinet. Engraved by hand
and adorned with a solid silver stag,
each decanter is as unique as the spirit
within.
 The plan is to release approximately
20,000 bottles – 4,000 a year – under
the Constellation Collection banner.
Prices range from £20,000 RSP for a
bottle of the Vintage 1964 to £2,000 for
a bottle of Vintage 1992. The entire
collection will sell for £158,000 and
World Duty Free Group has been allocated
two complete collections; all the number
1 bottles from each year and all the
number 8 bottles from each year.
Master Distiller Richard Paterson said:
"These single cask whiskies are a truly
remarkable piece of craftsmanship. Each
expression glows in its own natural
brilliance to create a kaleidoscope of
colour across the collection.
"As you would expect from The Dalmore,
each unique cask follows time-honoured
methods of artisanship, slowly maturing
in our dark warehouses, naturally cooled
by the damp maritime winds rolling in
from the North Sea.
"Maturation is an entirely natural
process and we have sought to retain the
purity, texture and mouth-feel and, as
such, have rejected modern chill
filtration prior to bottling. The end
result is a whisky rich in flavour and
aroma. Rare single malts, when crafted
in this traditional way, sometimes form
a slight haze when cold and in some rare
instances, a small sediment deposit.
This is a completely natural occurrence
and proof of a superior expression
distilled and matured to the finest
standards."

Vintage 1964 was distilled
on 29.04.1964, matured in Cask No 09
American white oak for 43 years then
Cask No 693 2008 Matusalem Oloroso
sherry butt for 3 years, 46 year
old, 45.1% ABV, 67 bottles released.

Producer's Tasting Notes:
Colour:
Dark, shimmering chocolate mahogany.
Nose: Nuances of honeyed pear,
banana and passion fruit are replaced by
aromas of orange peel, lavender,
coumarin and patchouli, with hints of
violets and myrtle.
Taste:
Blood oranges, figs, fleshy peaches and
roasted Colombian coffee, with notes of
black forest fruits, crushed apples and
spicy cinnamon.

41.7%% ABV, 237 bottles released.

Producer's Tasting Notes:
Colour:
Mahogany gold.
Nose: Blood oranges, crushed
apples and pear followed by Ogen melon,
walnuts, Jamaican jerk and cinnamon.
Whispers of Bulgarian roses and jasmine
coupled with coriander and cocoa powder
complete the experience.
Taste:
Ripe mandarins, kumquats, black forest
fruits and pineapple tease, before a
wave of ortaniques, ginger, black
treacle and chewy liquorice follow with
hints of vanilla, creamy caramel and
Swiss chocolate.

Colour:
Amber honey gold with rays of sunlight.
Nose: Sweet apple, pear and caramelised orange segments.
Followed by coffee mousse, soft
liquorice, nutmeg, rich praline and
pineapple.
Taste:
Cinnamon, toffee and black cherries with
whispers of freshly baked banana bread,
sultanas, treacle and nutty toffee.

Colour:
Radiant amber with glowing highlights.
Nose: Black toffee, candied orange, bitter chocolate and
Jamaica pepper. Followed by notes of
Oolong tea, fig raisins, creamy caramel
and ripe mangos.
Taste:
Moist banana fig cake, poached fruits,
almonds, cinnamon and pecan pie, with an
aftertaste of toasted pistachios, peach
syrup, fudge and pineapple.

A collage of colour from lemon to
illuminating honeycomb gold.
Nose: Blood oranges, cinnamon spice and cider apples
accentuated by tangy lime marmalade,
buttermilk pancakes and honey with
whispers of Turkish delight and
lemongrass.
Taste:
Toffee apple, chocolate fudge and pear
with a dusting of cocoa, nutmeg and ripe
bananas.

A shimmering tapestry of brunneous ochre
and copper.
Nose: Tangy Seville oranges laced with honeycomb, sandalwood
and vanilla are followed by caramelised
apricots, rose hip syrup and Ogen melon.
Taste:
Moist fruitcake, spicy Oloroso sherry,
orange rind and black maraschino
cherries are replaced by toffee, ginger
spice, chocolate mousse and Marsala.

Amber, dazzling gold with glints of
copper.
Nose: Creamy caramel, vanilla fudge and marzipan are
interlaced with pineapple, tangerines,
lemon cheesecake and sandalwood. These
aromas are finally fused with rich
praline, peach melba and ginger.
Taste:
Bramley apples with peaches and cream,
chewy toffee, kiwi fruits and macaroons
open, before a final fanfare of Turkish
delight, honeyed pears, freshly baked
rye bread and marzipan.

Rich radiant mahogany gold with sandy
bottom highlights.
Nose: Baked apples, caramelised pear, over ripe apricots,
Czar plums and clementines, accentuated
by hints of creamy vanilla, dried figs,
milk chocolate, orange peel, pineapple
and coconut.
Taste:
Moist lemon cake, juicy dates,
persimmons and almonds, before flavours
of fleshy Doyenne du Comice pear, peach
and mangos.

Colour:
Shimmering honeyed gold.
Nose: Honey, peaches, nectarines and vanilla ice cream.
Followed by notes of fresh apple, pear,
apricots and lemongrass.
Taste:
Spicy pineapple, tropical fruit salad
and caramel fudge with flashes of lemon
cake, frangipane, rose hip syrup and
macaroons. Followed by Bramley apples
with peaches and cream, Turkish delight,
spiced sherbet and kiwi fruits.

Colour:
Copper black toffee with an aurora amber
gold.
Nose: Notes of allspice, rolling tobacco, pear drops and
espresso coffee give way to dark fruits,
sweet black treacle, marmalade, cracked
pepper and rich sultanas.
Taste:
Toasted pistachios, ginger syrup, moist
fig cake and Seville oranges, tempered
by vanilla, bitter chocolate, pecan pie
and liquorice. Muscatel, nutty toffee,
Demerara sugar and caramelised pineapple
provide the perfect aftertaste.

with flashes of yellow light.
Nose: Sandalwood, lemon cream pancakes, succulent peaches and
freesia, with tangs of ylang ylang,

Taste:
Dried candied fruits, vanilla, soft
panna cotta and tinned tropical fruits
give way to fresh pineapple, caramelised
tangerines, parkin cake and egg custard.

of pear, coupled with layers of ginger
spice, crushed almonds and toffee apple.

give way to freshly baked bread,
caramelised peaches and apricots.

Deep mahogany copper with glittering
amber facets.
Nose: Fresh ground Java coffee, praline chocolate, créme
brulee and crushed almonds. Glazed black
cherries, patchouli oil and sweet
raisins then give way to cider apples,
freshly baked bread, sweet bananas and
creamy caramel.
Taste:
Glazed orange segments, over ripe
apricots, maraschino cherries and pear
drops with flavours of nutmeg, espresso
coffee, treacle cake and balsamic
dressing. This is followed by roasted
chestnuts, moist banana cake and dates.

Amber gold and straw yellow with
shimmering highlights.
Nose: Marzipan, spicy cinnamon and buttered asparagus tips
linger before bakewell tart, freshly cut
rye bread, lime marmalade and vanilla
pods bring it to a close.
Taste:
Ripe pineapple, Ogen melon, peach syrup
and figs. Whispers of fresh ground
coffee, balsamic vinaigrette, orange
rind and black treacle bring it to a
satisfactory conclusion.

A splash of gold with a field of
sun-kissed barley.
Nose: Bergamot, cape gooseberries, white linen and honeyed
pear. Scents of apple tarte tatin,
vanilla pods, peach syrup and sandalwood
give way to grape pulp, oakmoss, ginger
and crepe suzette.
Taste:
Sweet mangos, panna cotta, glace
cherries and banana. Hints of breakfast
muesli, moist lemon cake, and tropical
fruit salad follow with a final
aftertaste of Victoria plums,
nectarines, ginger spice and walnuts.

Taste:
Brandy grapefruit, banana fritters,
crushed almonds and Gazpacho Andaluz,

and black toffee.
Taste:
