Bruichladdich today
launched the
latest addition to the Octomore
series of bottlings - the Octomore
Orpheus 2.2 The special 2009
release Orpheus is
bottled at a massive 140ppm and has been
matured in an American Bourbon cask,
before being transfered to a Chateau
Petrus wine cask. Orpheus is 5 year old
and was bottled at 61% ABV and is a
limited edition of 15,000 bottles.
This dram is heavily peated and
sweet. It should be available from
specialist whisky retailers from
this week priced around £80 - £90.
