Benromach
unveil forth vintage in the Hermitage
range, the Benromach 1975.
The
Benromach distillery today unveiled its
latest vintage addition to its limited
edition Heritage range, the Benromach
1975 single cask single malt whisky.
The Benromach 1975 was matured for over 41
years in a
single cask, Cask No. 3434, a refill
American Hogshead which has produced an
outturn of only 162 bottles which have
been bottled at 49.9% ABV.
David King, International Sales
Director, explains: "Our previous
Benromach vintage exclusives have been
incredibly successful, with vintages
from 1972, 1973 and 1974 selling quickly
and we look forward to continuing this
success with the launch of the 1975
vintage.
"Our exclusive Heritage single malts
celebrate different aspects of
Benromach’s history and traditions.
After 41 years in a carefully selected
refill American Hogshead, the character
is both unpredictable and intriguing.
I’m confident that whisky fans will be
eager to savour this precious single
malt that comes steeped in Benromach’s
history."
As your would expect for such a rare
whisky the 41 year old Speyside whisky
it is presented in a premium decanter-style
bottle; the contours of the neck and
shoulder line sculpted to represent copper
stills whilst a copper-coloured neck
collar adds a luxurious touch.
The presentation box is inspired by the
home of Benromach, also reflecting the
copper of the stills in use today, as
well as the dark, grained wood of the
original washbacks and the white of the
lime washed distillery walls.
A book also accompanies the whisky, this
is sure to make an interesting read to
Benromach fans while dramming on their
bottle of Benromach 1975, the book
delves into the Benromach history as
well as providing whisky fans with some
fascinating stories about the people behind
the whisky.
The Benromach 1975 is a limited edition
of only 162 bottles worldwide and has a RRP of £1250
and you will find it available from
specialist online whisky retailers such

Benromach 1975 Review
|
Producer's Tasting Notes:
Nose:
sweet honeycomb, toasted malt and
luscious apricot infused with notes of
warm ginger and fresh citrus. Underlying
all these is a delicate hint of sugared
almond.
Taste:
At first, you may taste a delicate
sweetness, with hints of white pepper,
dried tobacco and dark cocoa. These
evolve into a medley of mature oak
flavours, leading to a rich, smooth
smoky finish.
