Ballantine's
launch Single Malt Series with
Glenburgie 15 Year Old, Miltonduff 15
Year Old and Glentauchers 15 Year Old.

Ballantine's has launched a new
Single Malt Series of whiskies which
comprises of three of the main signature
single malt whiskies found at the heart of the
Ballantine's blend.
The three new Ballantine's single malts, Glenburgie
15 Year Old, Miltonduff 15 Year Old and
Glentauchers 15 Year Old originate from
distilleries that whisky drinkers rarely
see any original distillery bottlings
from as much of their output goes almost
exclusively into the Ballantine's blend.
Interestingly, Chivas Brothers, owner of
the Ballantine's blend as well as the
Glenburgie, Miltonduff and Glentauchers
distilleries have chosen to bottle the
three new single malts under the
Ballantine's label as a new Ballantine's
Single Malt Series.
Ballantine's say that Glenburgie forms
the heart of Ballantine’s whisky
character and the new Ballantine's
Glenburgie 15 year old Series No.1
delivers a concentrated fruitiness and
honeyed sweetness. It is perfectly
balanced, with aromas of soft red apples
and pears, this whisky has a full and
velvety texture and a long, round
finish.
Miltonduff is the foundation of
Ballantine's whisky character and the
Ballantine's Miltonduff 15 year old
Series No.2 brings warmth and
power. Floral with a subtle hint of
cinnamon spice, this whisky is extremely
smooth with gentle liquorice flavours
and a long, warm finish.
Glentauchers delivers the smooth and
delicate lingering finish of
Ballantine’s. The Ballantine's
Glentauchers 15 year old Series No.3 has
hints of delicate floral heather on the
nose and soft berries and barley sugar
sweets on the palate, this whisky has an
incredibly long, luscious finish.
Peter
Moore, Ballantine’s Global Brand
Director commented: "The Single Malts
category is dynamic and continues to
grow rapidly as more consumers become
lovers of this iconic Scottish spirit.
"As a globally known brand, we are sure
that consumers will have confidence in
the quality and credibility of these new
Single Malts as they are widely
recognised as the signature malts that
form the heart of Ballantine’s."
The
new Ballantine's Single Malt Series, all
bottled at 40% ABV, has been launched
initially in Taiwan the 4th largest
whisky market in the world by value and
a popular market for Ballantine's
whisky. It has also launched in Global
Travel Retail priced at US $80/£60 per
litre and will soon be rolled out in
domestic markets including the UK,
Australia, Canada, China, India, Japan,
Korea and Switzerland at a RRP of US
$56/£41 for a 70cl bottle.
You
will find the current Ballantine's core
range of whiskies as well as expressions
of the contributing single malt
whiskies, Glenburgie, Glentauchers and
Miltonduff available from specialist Whisky retailers such as
