Distillery unveils the final First-fill
Sherry Cask Scotch blended whisky in
trilogy: The RAER Amontillado
Expression.

Distillery has announced the launch of
the RAER Amontillado Expression, a
blended Scotch whisky, marking the grand
finale of RAER’s in-house sherry
finishes.
Jackton tells me that the RAER
Amontillado Expression has been finished
in premium first-fill sherry casks,
hand-selected from the prestigious Jerez
region in Andalucía, Spain. This final
release follows the highly acclaimed
Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez Expressions,
which were honoured as The Best Blended
Scotch Whiskies in 2022 and 2023 at The
Scottish Whisky Awards.
Founded in 2020, Jackton Distillery is
an independent, family-run business that
crafts a smoother, sweeter range,
bridging the gap between traditional and
modern whisky enthusiasts. Located in
the tranquil village of Jackton near
Glasgow, the distillery has swiftly
earned a reputation for its whisky
offerings.
Alongside the RAER Amontillado
Expression launch, Jackton Distillery is
eagerly anticipating the grand opening

The RAER Amontillado blended Scotch is

Bottled at 40% ABV the RAER Amontillado
blended Scotch has a price tag of £42,
on the nose, the whisky is said to
present a smooth caramel aroma, followed
by a luscious, juicy peach palate, and
finishing with a delightful warmth and
spice.
