Just been in Waitrose and they had connemara to clear at £19.64
I didnt think the Connemara was that good, worth a try at that price though as many do like it, it wasnt to my taste.

But you have to take account of postage - £34.50 will be the total if you get it from Waitrose at the moment, assuming you have one near enough to visit. I'm hoping they still have it in stock this weekend.

When Asda stopped stocking Ardbeg 10 a couple of years ago they sold off there stock for £20 a bottle this was right at the time Ardbeg ramped the price up to just under £40. I bought 12 bottles at the time which seemed like loads but now i wish i had bought more as they have all evaporated Shocked Laughing

Good job I bought my stash of 6-7 bottles at $50 and £60 then!! They are either getting short in supply or have seen regular ebay sales of £100+

I've been following ebay sales out of curiosity - the most it's gone for is £105, it typically sells between £75 and £100. However, the most astonishing thing is that someone managed to sell an EMPTY bottle for £102!! Shocked Good for the guy, but who would pay that much money for an empty bottle of what is not a particularly collectable whisky?!

I believe there was an ebay sale of £123 for a Snow Phoenix, although it's possible I noticed this in another auction.

However, the prices are definately showing a marked upward trend

It was a limited release but a big one and a very good one so i would guess there are a lot of buyers out there that are willing to pay an extra few pound for the Snow Phoenix as they have a taste for it now.

Yes, definitely - but why buy an empty bottle?! It was pretty easy to notice in the description that it was empty...
