Dear All,
The other day I was able to pick up a bottle of the 2020 Diageo Special Release Talisker for £50. Reviews described it as harsh, immature, abrasive, etc., which isn’t really my cup of tea, but, at £50, I thought, Why not have a go anyway?
To my mind, it’s none of the above things. There’s a nice balance and taste, no harshness, etc. It was now bottled 5 years ago, however. Is there any chance it’s lost some of its rough edges over those years? I’d always assume that once things were bottled, they stayed pretty much as they were.
James. |

| A whisky shouldnt change if it has remained sealed in the bottle, once opened for a while and as the level of whisky in the bottle drops its flavour profile can change.a little. |

| Its worth noting that what some people taste can be very different to what others taste. |
