Never tried this, but was intrigued when I saw a few bottles on the bargain shelf at Asda. When I say bargain, I'm talking £12.95 for a full size 70cl bottle. A quick Google showed most places selling at around £40, so I grabbed one, checked out and had to try it for size.
Expectations being very low, I was pleasantly surprised that this young, sweet scotch ticked enough boxes to make me go and buy the other 3 bottles. I assume Asda have discontinued it, or just made some pricing error, but I'm well pleased. I'd love to know what others thought of this one... I'm sure a few of you tried it. |

I have had some huge whisky bargains from Asda in the past and they always were only in that store and not other Asda stores, i was never sure myself if it was a pricing error or just that individual store selling off that particular whisky.
I have had a couple of bottles of the Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve, an enjoyable dram for the price and got to be even better at £12.95. I will check a couple of stores local to me but i dont hold much hope. |

Thanks for the reply Forbes. I think it must have been an error, because it showed the normal price at £20, "roll back" to £12.95! Anyway, since you've had similar luck in Asda, I'll be popping in there more often. Out of interest, do you remember which whiskies you found at what price? |

I also recall getting Highland Park 12 reduced to clear for £16 if i remember correctly. There have been a number of others over the years but i always have a quick look in the whisky aisle when i am in. |
