So tried the glenmorangie 12 original last night and I'm thinking on my part it's a improvement on the 10,, now I've tried the 10 many times and I've never really wanted to go back to it with excitement, I did every two or three years , nothing wrong with it but it just left me a bit flat, so the 12? Any thoughts from others who may have tried the 12? |

Opened a bottle of the new Glenmorangie 12 tonight, I actually bought it off the back of Williams review of it on here which having now tasted it sums it up pretty well for me. |

I have gotten through about half a bottle, I also bought my bottle when I saw Williams review which was spot on. Still a great dram.
I would guess that the decision to bottle the Glenmorangie Original at 12 years old may have been influenced by the fact their maturing stock had gotten older as perhaps they havent sold the predicted volume of the 10 year old in recent years which would be due to the price increases. |

Just spotted it in Tesco at £29 so couldn't resist. Much like you, I liked the 10 but didn't love it enough to always have one in my cabinet. Must be 5 years or more since I last tasted the 10, so can't comment on how different the 12 is... would be nice to try them side by side.
After a couple of drams which I very much enjoyed, I can't see this bottle lasting very long. |

Much improved and more taste explosions, my next bottle to try is the glenfiddich 14 bourbon which Sainsbury's have reduced from £48 to £38 ? |

Let us know your findings. Strangely I can't get on with any of the Glenfiddich whiskies that I've tried... even the Gran Cru 23yr old, which I assumed would be lovely. No idea what it is about the taste, but just isn't my bag. |

Just sipping the glenfiddich 14 now , I like it , 43% vanilla and good vanilla , spicy and smooth, at the moment these are the whiskies im in too, things change quickly with me but I'd say I'd repeat next year , |

Now orange, it's got lots too it , it's got more I'm sure , but it's got three main notes I like , orange, spice and what I call real nice vanilla, no expert but I'd buy again , right I'm off for another sip or two , |
