Hi All,
first post here. Just picked up a Macallan 21 Fine Oak Triple cask from a reputable vendor in Mexico.
My question/concern is that the QR Hologram from Macallan sends me to the Macallan page for a Macallan 25 (2018 version) not a Macallan 21
Has anyone come across a Hologram that has the incorrect bottle? I emailed Macallan and they were no help.

| Hi that doesn't sound right to me, I would recommend contacting the Macallan with your concerns. |

It could be a genuine mistake, but if Macallan don’t give you a sensible answer, Id be marching back to the “reputable vendor†and asking for a refund. The value in whiskies of this nature means that counterfeit goods are becoming an increasing problem. Best of luck, and please return with an update once you have some news. |

quick update
1) bottle is not open
2) I emailed Macallan again last week (Nov 23rd) and this time they said they would look into the matter.
Send them over receipt, website of vendor, hologram code, Mexican QR code (which says a 21 was imported by Casa Cuervo)
as of today Nov 29th, they said it would take 14 days for a response |

Follow up 12/14/22
Macallan confirmed the bottle is 100% legit and perfect.
"A technical error" on their behalf.
