Voted other...Benromach 10

Ditto this.

The Benromach 10 is just the best balanced 10 year old I've ever tasted - complex, sweet, hint of smoke. Absolutely stunning.

Talisker 10 for me from this list. Ardbeg clear winner but I struggle to understand why. I read someone liken it to licking the charred remains of a barbecue and I have to agree. I love my peated whiskies and lag 16 probably my fav (but could be dethroned with the 12 which I've yet to open). The ardbeg just has too much of a petroleum taste/ nose to make it enjoyable.

Difficult to pick one above the other but Laphroaig gets my vote. A close 2nd would be the Ardbeg 10 year old and 3rd Glenfarclas 10 year old.

The Ardbeg 10 is excellent for the peated option and Glenmorangie 10 for none peated

I would go for Glenmorangie 10, purely because there is very little batch variation unlike some of the others,
Not sure whether I prefer it more in reality but it is of a consistent quality.

A vote for Glenfarclass 10. I particularly like Glenfarclass & the 10 competes very well at its price point; the 12, not as much.

PS: on edit I will say that for the money you can't beat Speyburn 10 for a Speyside 10 yr old you won't need to ration.
