Does anyone have more information regarding an independently bottled version of Glen Flagler by Mason & Summers? I was wondering if it might be a single malt, vatted malt or some "other" whisky bottled under the name of Glen Flagler.

The article below got me wondering about its true contents:

Any thoughts?

Thanks for your reply. After a further bit of digging around (and not being so sure about how reputable the information from the website below is), this version may just be a blended malt, with the whiskies put into it being used to recreate the single malt profile (as per the description from: https://weedramcollective.com/product/glen-flagler-5-year-old-rare-all-malt-2/)

I believe this is actually a single malt or more accurately pot still and I remember it was bottled for the Milano Whisky Festival.
Bottled for - Importato per Auchan da DAB Italia S.p.A - GE
I had this bottle years ago.

Any Glen Flagler Pure Malt i have come across has been a blended malt, Pure Malt was a nisleading term often used to imply a single malt when it was in fact a bllended/vatted malt, that is why they stopped the use of the term a number of years ago.

So, would that mean that this version is very different to the original Glen Flagler distillery bottlings?

As a blended malt, would that mean all of the malt whiskies used to make this bottling have been distilled at the Glen Flagler distillery?

A single malt would mean all the whisky in the bottle was produced in the same distillery, a a blended or vatatted malt would mean it is a blend of malts produced at different distilleries.
