The info I received from Ardbeg on the Fermutation release clearly stated that it was a Committee exclusive release that was only available to members of The Ardbeg Committee. Ardbeg Committee members have been able to get hold of special releases such as this from Ardbeg embassies for some time, that is not new, but I cannot comment on how individual embassies handle the distribution of the Ardbeg Committee releases as I have never bought a release from any of the embassies so I can’t say what checks are in place to see that the bottling is going to a Committee member.. _________________ There's no bad whisky. It looked a little more interesting than some of the most recent releases but Ardbeg, like many of the distilleries, are milking the recent upsurge in demand. Tbh, I’m happy for people to blow their cash on NAS, first releases etc, all the more of the decent stuff for me! Plenty of quality 18yo for much less. |

I expect the boxed non committee release will be under the 100. |

Interesting dram to taste. Big burst of lime and then a lot of more savoury notes. One of the better recent releases I think. _________________ Inverness Whisky

Ardbeg's latest offering is a NFT whisky matured underground for almost three years... a snip at $3000! only roughly 450 bottles but they can most definitely bog off! |
