I was looking at it on the Lidl website, £39.99 isnt a big ask for an 18 year old Islay single malt, I will look out for it in my local store.

Any tasting notes for it or indication how peaty it is, if indeed it is a peated whisky.

Should have said it’s a islay, by the look of the tube and the colour I’d say it’s the same as last year plus 2 years,

I have to say, having tried the standard Ben Bracken after seeing a few 'you can't go wrong' comments, I won't be rushing for a bottle of this.

The standard Ben Bracken was extremely flat and lacking in any kind of body or character.

Sure, it was very low priced, but in my opinion wasn't worth drinking. I'd rather have a spiced rum or bourbon if that was my spirits budget.

I guess, in the main, you get what you pay for.

Well the standard is well below this one , I think some drinkers get too fussy and slag it off without trying, better to say nothing if not tried it.
