Hello, newbie here….I hope I’m posting in the right place. I have a bottle of Speaker Martin’s Highland Single Malt Macallan 10yo that I bought at a charity auction about 15 years ago. It’s in perfect condition and there doesn’t appear to any leakage as it’s still very full up the neck. It was also signed by the then leader of the Conservative Party leader David Cameron (before he became Prime Minister).
As much as I’d like to crack it open and taste it I think it might be better in someone’s collection, so my question is, where might be the best place to sell it and if anyone has any insight as to it’s value I would be intrigued!?
Thank you for any responses.

Welcome to the Forum. Yes, that is a very nice bottle of Highland single malt. There is one being offerred in a shop in London for £894. I don't know for sure if they were all signed or not by Cameron but if they weren't then of course your bottle would have more value. My guess is that they were not all signed. As far as where to sell it if you were so inclined, there is a "whiskies for sale" area on this Forum or alternatively you could try a whisky auction site. Cheers.

This should do well at auction given the interest in the Macallan, a bottle recently sold for £700 see here for recent auctions and you can sell your bottle here also:

Plenty of people would give up there money for this bottle as per the previous link for SWA.

Unfortunately if it has been signed by David Cameron it is worthless to a % of whisky drinkers and only good for smashing on the floor. Wink Laughing

Ha ha yes it did occur to me that this might make it undrinkable for some!

Many thanks for all of your replies - very useful. Will go and consider my options!
