Did anyone take part in the flood sale? Mine arrived today. Tickets were £49.99 and guaranteed you a bottle from the £45 to £270 range.
Glenturret sherry cask edition 43% (decent enough whisky can be bought locally for under £40)
artful dodger whisky Tomatin 11 cask 50cl cask 453 (about £69, but very young tasting whisky and first impressions not great)
Honestly a wee bit disappointed but appreciate it was a lucky dip, did anyone else take part? What did you get? |

I gave it a miss as i thought there may be very few big winners with the offer. |

Yeah agreed although haven't seen anything brilliant posted on social media yet and definitely a bit of creativeness round the £45. Think you made the right choice |

Fair to say when they quoted bottles of a certain price range they were always using their pricing in their shop / website and not cheaper prices available else where. |

I'm yet to see anybody who ordered 2 bottles not get a Glenturret. I thought it was completely random. Not seen anybody get 2 bottles of Glenturret or zero bottles of Glennturret.
Anyway you live and you learn but no way was it random..... |

Don't disagree with that but these came without boxes, some with damaged labels guessing they were possibly unsellable due to being in a flood hence the raffle.
Think if we had seen one or two rubbish/cheap bottles and lots of good ones I think alot of people would have accepted that they were unlucky, they had to delete the Facebook post where everyone was posting their bottles as it was starting to look grim.
Possibly if they had priced the raffle at £30 it wouldn't have seemed as greedy? |

The only way to know would be have the total value of all bottles and the total price of all sales. Given some of the bottles were quite a bit above ticket price the average might not be all that unreasonable. Not sure we'll ever really know. |
