This is pretty decent for sure but it will be too sweet and too syrupy for some, not a whisky for peat heads or lovers of heavy sherry.
This really is a desert in a glass.
Nose
88
For once the nose is bang on description wise, `peach parfait`, great nose, so different
This also smells like some caramel vodka that a local tapas bar sells in Lincoln, well a little anyway?
Smells creamy and yes full pf peach but also a little mango with a hint of vanilla.
A different nose to just about anything i have had before.
Taste
86
This noses like a 40% whisky, gentle and fragrant, one sip you realise you have been fooled, plenty of power there, but ok neat.
Very fruity , on mango, peach, dried apricot and a little marmalade with a nice spice not and possibly a hint of peat?
Finish
86
Long, sweet and spicy, good length.
With water:-
No real change on the nose but the palate has more fruit, more cream, and more spice, it is almost like syrup. _________________ Pour me a glass please. |
