I had spotted HTFW on ebay some time ago, they still dont let private sellers sell on ebay like they used to AFAIK.

The amount of casual buyers floating around on ebay they'd be mad not to expand into that territory tbh!

Ebay is a potentially massive market of casual buyers who don't typically shop via conventional websites,it's got nothing to do with how big any retailer is, they'd be mad not to want a piece of that pie if they can make money from it. This is how every business on the level of Whisky Exchange and Master of Malt operates. You don't reach a certain level and then say "we're good now, no need to get any more successful!".

Different prices on the different platforms too, reflecting the commission rates imagine? They can also get into trouble when stock is low with 1 bottle listed in multiple places. An ugly model, but as others have said, it makes sense to go where your buyers are.
