I bought the 2020 batch, and after days / weeks of review-ing I find this a little bit disappointing. Everybody was giving this 4-5/5 stars and it's also Horst's top 5 whiskies and for some employe @ TWE.com

Talisker is said to have consistent batches over the years, I'm not arguing about that. But..

It's just a 10 year old whisky, it's good.. balanced.. smoke / bourbon / sherry. But I couldn't feel the pepper note as they were saying, I felt it by drinking the 18 though.

The 2017 batch were availible last january here, I just wish I would have grabbed it. Oh man..

But for a 10 year old whisky, it's rollin. Rich flavours going on. But I would save your money and go for the 18, it's less sherried but worth it. Unless you can come across with older batches of this type and write about it?

The point is, it isn't as it's suppose to be.. though it delivers it's _flavours._

I am a big fan of the Talisker range and i havent been disappointed to date with any i have had. I havent had the Talisker DE 2020 edition but have enjoyed earlier editions, it is not good to hear that they have bottled a poor batch.

I am not saying it's a bad batch, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was.

I am looking for more depht.
