Looking to treat myself with a special bottle. I enjoy a variety of whisky - peated/non-peated single malt scotch, Japanese and Tasmanian. Looking for something interesting that I haven't tried before (familiar with most of the big names eg. Springbank, Deanston, Laphraoig, etc.) - ideally a distillery bottling but would be open to giving an unusual indie bottle a go as well (familiar with Carn Mor, Laing, Signatory).
Other than that, very open to any ideas - whatever you personally enjoy and would buy at that price point! Ideally cask strength, non-chill filtered and no colouring added
Thanks! |

Do you like Glengoyne, the Glengoyne 25 is very good. |

It’s not worth the jump up in price from the 21 IMO. I’m torn on this. I’d personally be looking at auction for an old Glenfarclas family cask. Or similar, I think. |

I would agree with Keith the Glengoyne 25 is very special, certainly superior to the 21. It is quite a jump in price but if money is no object it is as I said something special. |

I thoroughly enjoyed this Tamdhu - Team Cask - it can be had at auction for at or under your budget although prices are creeping up.
A lovely big sherried drop. _________________ Inverness Whisky

For my money, it’s a Bunnahabhain 25 or Bruichladdich Black Art 4.1 if you can find one. If not, the newest 8.1 is fantastic. _________________ If Jack Bauer was gay, his name would be Chuck Norris |

Thanks all. Leaning towards a glenfarclas family cask / bunna 25. I typically prefer a more traditional style malty/cereal/nutty profile |

Get a couple of the Old glendronach allardice, think the 2019 is about 24y/o or a parliament, which should be turning 26 this year. 26y/o 48° at around 120 pounds I think. |

Try an independent bottler.. Lady of the Glen are fantastic, James Eadie do some great stuff and obviously Cadenheads have some exceptional bottles. |
